Candy crush number one of top ten most downloaded app

Today i read an article on how the mobile app candy crush has made it to the top of the ios download list. There was ten apps in this list from mobile games to the social networking apps. But it seems like everyone has a sweet tooth for this game. I played this game myself and thought it was pretty good. But some people are obsessed and have to play every day. This puzzle game is deffintly a time killer because you can get lost in it for hours trying to get past levels and get the high score. I am happy for the creators of candy crush for their success. But as we all know this game is probably only a fad and a new game  will top the list next year. Who ever makes this game will have to work hard to get to the top of this list because everyone loves candy !

60 watt bulbes are now illegal

Today i saw an article on yahoo news that the 40 and 60 watt light bulbes are now illegal to sell or import into the U.S. They are doing this because these light bulbes are outdated and only use 10 percent of its power for light the rest is in heat. The light bulbe is now being replaced with more energy efficient light bulbes and they will no be in EVERY home of the U.S. I think this is a good idea to save energy but i know some people will not want to make the change. These light bulbes will be more expensive than the ones we use today.  I will like to see how people will react to this change some people may love the idea others could hate or even try to boycott. But myself i really dont care as long as there is a light in my house im happy. BUt this makes you wonder what would Thomas Eddison and Lewis H latimer think about all this.

Mobile devices effecting technology.

Today i read an article on how mobile devices effected cyber monday. Over 17.5 percent growth of people shopping online and 1 third of the online shoppers were on mobile devices. I think that mobile devices will greatly effect the growth of technology within the next 5 years. One example is shopping online you can be laying in your bed right now with a tablet in hand doing some last minute christmas shopping and with a couples touches on your phone have everything ready to be shipped to your house. With simples apps on your phone you can get plenty of books and never have to go to the library again !. When your cooking in the kitchen and you forget part of a recipe you can simply pull out your phone and find what your looking for. Mobile technology will effect our future from gaming to doing your taxes i am getting my first tablet for christmas and i cant wait to see all the things i can do with it . It will be an amazing experience that  will always enjoy.  And i think other people enjoy it more and more each year it is so much easier to take your computer anywhere than have to be up infront of a monitor when you trying to do something quickly.

wirless battery charging

Today i found out about a professor at MIT who created a source of energy so electronics can work without being plugged in ! I find this amazing because we plug many things in every day from cell phones to tv to fridges to cars. But imagine driving an electric car home and not having to plug it in. Or you are about to go to bed and you put the phone down on a beside table and the phones charges without you remembering to plug it in. I think this idea of wirless power could greatly effect our future but i dont see it happening anytime soon. Many people think that wireless power can transmit radioactive waves and they are afraid. The professor showed on stage that it will not harm the human body but others still wont believe. In conclusion when  you come home from work and you want your wall mounted tv to turn on imagine how great it would look without a wire going down the wall.

Internet stealer found years later !

Today in my tech class i found out that people from Europe have been stealing the internet from America. I am surprised that they were able to do this under heavy security. This means that for the past 5 years people could have been reading your facebook post emails or even see your credit card info. This makes me feel unsafe on the internet considering i do a lot of online shopping such as eBay and amazon and i dont want my hard earned cash being taken away by people who dont deserve it. I am glad that people have found out this is happening so we can take action find these people and arrest them because these people could even be obtaining government files which can hurt our country a lot a lot.
